This print shows the Tama River with Mt. Fuji taking centerstage against a backdrop of a beautiful sunset. Two women can be seen washing clothes in the river in the foreground while some men are catching fish behind them.

Hiroshige's landscapes often show common folk from Edo-period Japan going about their daily tasks, providing valuable insight into Japanese art and culture of the early 19th century.
