This print shows a summer scene. The atmosphere within the image is warm, depicting an eye-level view of the bell tower of Okayama. Traditional houses surround it and bright red potted flowers are sitting on someone's windowsill. Further down the street, the silhouette of a person can be seen, as they are walking away from the viewer, sheltered from the summer downpour underneath a yellow umbrella. The flowers and the umbrella are bright spots of colour that draw the eye and stand out against a soothing, more muted colour scheme.

This image showcases Hasui's talent for depicting reflections in water, as well as his signature style of contrasting quite graphic elements with others that are watercolour-like and fluid.

A model of the Okayama bell tower, 1/5 the size of the original, can be viewed in the Okayama City Museum. It is an iconic piece of architecture for this area.
